for matthew’s senior session, his parents wanted to capture photos in their back yard. choosing a location like this, that holds sentimental value to you and your family, is a wonderful way to create a personal and meaningful experience that will show in your photos. a heartfelt location like a favorite park or back yard, can also add comfort and help your senior feel more relaxed.
i also suggested a couple other great locations for matthew’s session. we went to river park in sheboygan falls to capture stunning nature and water shots. choosing nature and water for you location can add depth, color and texture while bringing feelings of calm and relaxation. we also visited downtown to find old brick buildings for our backdrop to add some great texture and a unique atmosphere.
matthew was wonderful to work with! he was quiet and shy, like many teenagers. i have a lot of experience working with kids like this, and know how to get them to feel comfortable which allows them to show their unique personalities. it’s my job to capture these genuine moments which reflect their true selves.
my goal in each senior portrait session is to embrace your senior and their personality. i think we definitely did that with matthew in these portraits!
